Starting November 11, players will be able to purchase the new Unbind Tokens in the Zen Market. Some players may be familiar with these tokens as they were present on preview and have been dropping as premium rewards for the past week on the live environment.
Where can I obtain Unbind Tokens?
The Unbind Token Pack can be purchased on the Zen Market. In addition, these tokens have a chance to drop from Premium Rewards.
Can I unbind all bound items?
Cryptic are starting with a limited number of items that can be unbound and will expand the options as they go forward. Some items won't be able to be unbound such as equipped mounts and companions due to how those items work, but most other items can be made unbound. Make sure to let the Dev Team know (Link to forum thread at the bottom of this article) if there are items you'd like to see added to the list in the future. Items that can currently be unbound will have the following option visible:
How many tokens are needed to unbind an item?
Any item that can be unbound will have an unbind token cost. The amount of tokens needed will vary from item to item as the value of the item varies. For example, 1 Coal Ward will require 80 Unbind Tokens.
Can I unbind more than one of the same item at a time?
Yes. For example, if you have a stack of 3 bound Coal Wards you can unbind them all at once. The token cost requirement will display as the total for all 3.
Can I re-bind an item I’ve unbound and get the tokens back?
No. Once Unbind Tokens have been used, this cannot be undone. Players will be given a warning message indicating this during the unbinding flow.
How will I know an item has been unbound?
The item tooltip will state “Unbound” if an item has been unbound.
Where can I find how many Unbind Tokens I have?
Unbind Tokens are displayed in the Currency tab of the Inventory.
Is the list of unbinding Items final?
No. More items will be added that can be unbound over time. If you have suggestions for which items you’d like to see on the list, you can leave your feedback on the forum thread.
